How to Use SDRecConnect

SDRecConnect is the City of San Diego Park & Recreation Department's online registration portal. Your SDRecConnect account enables you to register and pay for classes and programs offered through the Park & Rec, and even lets you add friends and family members to your account – all with a few clicks.

Effective September 8, 2015, the city's outsourced payment processor will charge transaction and processing fees on top of the city's class fees. You can save a little money by paying for as many classes as possible in a single transaction. For instance, there are typically up to three months of judo classes open for registration. Also, the city offers low-income fee waivers for qualified individuals and families.

If you've used the SDRecConnect website before, perhaps for other classes or events, just go to SDRecConnect.com, click on “My Account” (for returning customers) and log in: your log in name is your email address. If you've forgotten your password, click on “Forgotten?” and a temporary password will be emailed to your registered email address.

If you're a first-time user, go to SDRecConnect.com, click on “Create Account” (for new users) and fill out the form completely. Submit your request only once (it's a City website, so it's slower than Amazon – be patient). You'll receive a confirmation email, typically within minutes – follow the directions provided to activate your account.

If you're registering for other family members, create and activate your own account first. Then you can add other household members. If you already have an account, log in and click “My Account.” Under “Personal Information Includes” click “Change Information About Family/Friends.” Then click on “Add New Family Member” and fill out the form.

To register for judo, click on “Activities” (at the top navigation bar) or, if you're logged into your account, click “Register for Activities” under “Other Services.” Do a search for “judo” and our classes will come up. If you're registering multiple people, add each person's class to the cart individually - family members' names can be selected from a pull-down menu.
